Blog Book

Remember this post where I said I am using my blog as my journal/family history? Well I got our blog published into a book! I LOVE how it turned out and am so excited to be able to have a hard copy of it. I used Blurb.com and it was super easy to use. I had a coupon code from them for 20% off and free shipping, so the total was $40. Not too bad for 2 years worth of memory preserving!

With not feeling so great Stouffer's Easy Express Skillets have become my saving grace! They are SUPER quick and tasty as well. The first time I made one Brennen thought it was homemade!

I signed up for Nexflix since I am at home most everyday all day. I love that you can watch movies online instantly too!

Coming to Realizations

For the longest time I have told myself that I am a "scrapbooker", well I have come to grips with myself and realized just because I have a bunch of scrapbooking stuff sitting in my closet it doesn't make me a scrapbooker. You actually have to do it! I also am not a traditional, write in my journal every day/week, journal keeper. 

I was thinking the other day about how my blog is a form of journaling and scrapbooking (pictures) and that I am OK with that! I really need to focus on doing the things I enjoy and can do instead of thinking I am something else. So from now on folks I don't do the traditional scrapbook or journal! I was thinking that every year I would get my blog printed into a book and call it good. So stay tuned for a little more day to day documentation for the future Ames posterity.

 I'm so happy to get that all off my chest!

Secret Santa Package!

I received my Secret Santa package last week! I haven't had a chance to blog about it sooner because I was sick in bed for 2 days and then we went to Utah for the weekend. But I did get to read the whole Rachel Ray magazine she gave me on the way down. I had never read her magazine but I loved it. There were so many good recipes and good ideas! And those Sour Patch Kids were gone within a day! I LOVE the damask print cards, they are flocked and just beautiful. I can't wait to send one off to someone!

I Did Not!

I did not just listen to HSM 3 and Wicked Music for the past 2 hours while blog surfing! Dang.. 7:15 is going to come a lot quicker going to bed at 1:45 compared to 11:30. I did find some awesome ideas and blogs though, so it's ok. Right?!?

Facelift and Findings

Hillary at Simply Yours Designs just finished my blog's facelift and I am loving it! The name was a team effort by Brennen and I (but mostly him!), and it totally fits. He loves his cars and t-tops, and I love being his princess, glitter, glam, and bling! Be sure to check out Simply Yours Designs for some dang cute stuff, and Hillary is so great to work with!
