Ask and Ye Shall Receive

The Austin area is in the third biggest drought in Texas history, so it hasn't been uncommon to hear prayers being said at church asking for rain. The stake was asked to fast and pray for rain this past Sunday because of the severe drought conditions. Sunday evening we were skyping with my parents when it started to pour rain! The sun was still out and there weren't even many clouds in the sky, and I couldn't help but think with tear filled eyes that Heavenly Father really does hear and answer our fasts and prayers. It was about 5:30pm, and I had a thought that I'm sure there were several families sitting down to dinner to break their fast when the rain started. Of course Avalynn wanted to play in the rain, and it made it even better that Mimi and Grandpa were on Skype and got to watch her!

I think all this rain we're getting up here should really be down there! We don't want anymore! :)
