Mother Moments: What I Wish I Would Have Known

{Notice the cute silver shoes in this picture}

On several occasions in the last 8.5 months I have thought to my self, "I wish I would have known that sooner" or "why didn't anyone tell me that before!". I have been going through clothes that Avalynn has outgrown and deciding what I should keep and what should be sold or given away. Knowing that I love shoes, it's probably not a shock to see Avalynn has quite the array of shoes herself. But why didn't anyone tell me that the shoes just fall off their feet? I would have saved myself a whole lot of money not even buying the dang things! The shoes I have been most excited about, naturally are the ones that don't stay on for 2 seconds. And not because she pulls them off, she is quite good about keeping all her "accessories" on, they just fall off....obviously shoes not meant for a baby. So store designers, please stop making ridiculously adorable shoes that I can't resist only for them to sit in the drawer collecting dust.

haha. yes, in my opinion, putting shoes on my kids before they are walking is a waste of money. they don't wear them, they are only for "look", serve no purpose... and a huge waste of money. i don't buy my kids shoes until they are about a year old. lame. but i save a lot of moolah!

I love shoes too! Why do that do that to us?! This made me laugh because I can just picture lots of adorable shoes in Avalynn's closet! Thanks for the heads up Cassie!

the older they get the more they stay on, and the fatter they are the easier they stay on. but i know what you mean... same with socks.

yeah my kids never had shoes till about 6 months old. I haven't had a problem with socks, I always buy the big packs at walmart and those have been fine for my kids. maybe you can sell those cute shoes to someone else who doesn't know that shoes fall off babies and get some money back.
