20 Down, 20 To Go

I'm half way through this pregnancy, that means we are getting closer and closer to this little boy joining our family! This pregnancy hasn't been too much different than it was with Avalynn. I haven't been sick, except for some nausea the first trimester, and I am so thankful I don't get sick while pregnant. Here are just a few random tidbits about this pregnancy.

- My first trimester I craved Top Ramen and root beer

-Now it's cold cereal 

-I am smaller this time than I was with Avalynn

-By 20 weeks with Avalynn I HAD to wear maternity pants, right now I am still fitting into my regular jeans and don't have to unbutton them yet

-Not as many headaches this time around

40 Weeks & Birth Day!

We are at the hospital waiting for her debut. The Dr. broke my water about 15 min ago, so now we play the waiting game... haven't we been doing that the last 9 months?!

All My Bags are Packed and I'm Ready to Go...

Cute bags huh! To bad they aren't mine. Found here.

Just playing the waiting game! Everything is ready to go for this little girl...our bag is packed, her room is ready, car seat is ready to go, Christmas presents are bought and wrapped, friend/neighbor gifts are sitting under our tree ready to be delivered, our Christmas cards are designed just waiting for pictures of this little one to be put on them, so...she can make her debut any day now!!

On Being Pregnant

I went to the doctor on Wednesday and he said I was at a 1 and 70% effaced... I know that can really mean nothing but hearing it made me realize that the end is in sight! I have been thinking a lot lately about the things I am more than excited to have back...

~No more Miss Piggy feet! My ankles and feet have been getting SOOO swollen, it looks so gross

~Fitting into my regular shoes. My 2 sizes too big flats I bought are even tight now.

~ Wearing high heels

~ Fingers not looking like sausages

~ Being able to work out normally so I can get back to wearing my regular clothes

~ Every limb and joint not hurting

~Sleeping without being uncomfortable... doesn't take every ounce of energy to roll over!

~ Sleeping on my stomach

~ Back not constantly hurting

~ Not having to pee every hour

~ Being able to wear my wedding ring again

~ No more Tums!

~Being able to cross my legs comfortably

But I will miss-

~ Feelings her move inside me

Ummm I think that's it!!

P.S. I think we might have a name we are both agreeing on! I'm not going to hold my breath or let everyone know what it is though, just in case it doesn't work out.

Calling All Moms!

As the time to have this little one gets closer I am starting to get a little nervous that I may not have everything I need and in order. I'm pretty sure I have almost everything that I will need for her, but am wondering if there is something that you wished you would have had that didn't know about. Also, I have heard several people say they packed way to much in their hospital bag and didn't really use any of it. So what are the absolute necessary items that you are so glad you had? Any other last minute advice or tips would be greatly appreciated too.... like how to make your baby want to come early!

36 Weeks

~Normal 36 week discomforts

~I was looking at pictures from earlier this year, and it made me excited to not have a belly anymore!

~Getting really "nesty"

35 Weeks

~ My heated rice pack is needed multiple times a day for my back

~ Stomach itches like crazy

~ I'm getting really worried about choosing a name for her, I think she is going to be nameless for a little bit.

34 Weeks

- Not much has changed around here, just feel like I keep getting bigger and bigger!

-I am thirsty all the time though, love water and orange juice!

-All her 0-3 month clothes are washed and put in the dresser

Baby Shower

Shantay threw me an awesome shower today filled with lots of sweets and treats! If you know me well you know I love candy so the theme was very fitting. I was defiantly spoiled by wonderful friends, thank you to all who came!

32 Weeks

Is it really possible to get bigger?

Do you have a name picked out?

This is the golden question! No we don't, and we have kind of decided that we aren't going to decide on one for sure until she is born. We want to see what she looks like and what fits her before we decide on one. I am too scared that if we were to pick one before we see her that it just wouldn't go with her and we would have to tell everyone we changed it. But, just for kicks and giggles I put a poll on my side bar to vote for your favorite out of some options!

31 Weeks

-I have entered the snoring phase!

-The doctor said she is head down...hopefully she stays that way

-I have started feeling a little "nesty" and getting her room put together

30 Weeks

~Feeling pretty fat in my face!

~She is a mover! I love see my stomach move around.

~10 weeks left!

29 Weeks

-My feet are permanently swollen, which means I can't fit into any of my cute shoes. I put them all in an empty suitcase so I didn't have to look at them everyday. =(

-The belly is starting to get in the way of doing things...like bending over!

27 Weeks

-Feeling very large and starting to get uncomfortable...and to think I still have 3 more months!

-Swelling has defiantly started.. I can't wear my wedding ring anymore

-Sweets always sound good!

Life around here has been crazy the last 4 weeks, hence the lack of pictures and posts. Hopefully in the next week or so things will get somewhat back to normal and I can update what has been going on in our lives.

23 Weeks

~15 lb total weight gain

~ I feel like I am gaining all around my middle section though, not just in the stomach

~Dark line on tummy starting to appear

~ Can see movement by looking at my stomach

~ Brennen realized that she can hear now, so he talks and sings to her!
